Sci-fi exhibition

For  the sci-fi exhibition the teaching aid that I put up for the exhibition were worksheets that I used for the set induction of a lesson. The worksheets were for the introduction of a topic called Thomson's model of an atom. One worksheet has the different elements, their source and the symbol of that element, the students have to match the element to its source and its symbol. The other worksheet has pictures of wall, anthill, fabric and human body, the students have to write what they are made up of.

INSPIRATION FOR THE BLOG

Dr. Anna Neena George

Dr. Anna Neena George, Associate Professor of G.V.M's Dr Dada Vaidya College of Education is the inspiration behind this blog.

All the activities conducted are the brain child of Ma'am Anna Neena George and are conducted under her guidance.

Sci-Fun

I had participated in the Sci-Fun project in the year 2023 organized by G.V.M's Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education. For the sci fun program we visited two schools namely Dr Dada Vaidya high school and Shri Saraswati High School, Kavlem . I performed the demonstration named singing bottles which explains how the difference in the level of water in the bottles produces low and high pitched sounds. The experience of Sci fun program was very insightful.

Science day

Science Day was celebrated on 28th February 2023 in G.V.M's Dr Dada Vaidya College of Education. I was part of demonstration team. I demonstrated the singing Bottle experiment I also made the science quiz for the event I was also the part of the rangoli team.

Kagan cooperative strategies

Kagan is a scientific research-based program focused on student engagement. With the Kagan method, all students face each other and have a chance to share. All students are engaged simultaneously within just a minute or two. Students develop self-esteem, social skills, leadership skills, and communication skills. They become teammates while learning the curriculum, bouncing ideas off one another. Under Kagan cooperative activities conducted included rally robin, discussion on benefits of millets.

Lab lesson

A lab lesson was delivered in standard VII on the topic soil types wherein the water holding capacity of soil was explained with the help of an experiment.
